The skills of traditional kiln fired painting, silver staining and enamelling are the most artistic and precise areas of the art of Stained Glass. The care which must be taken to paint the layers of vitreous glass paint required to produce a detailed image on glass extends to all aspects of the application; consistency and formulation of the paint, the choice of brushes, timings and the final firing times and temperatures. Silver stain and enamels can be even more tricky to use. Fortunately I have spent well over a decade increasing my depth and breadth of knowledge in glass painting and can produce work of the highest standard.
